40 free Whatever After trivia questions with answers — literature quiz, new questions added Oct 2026.
Whatever After starts with a simple what-if: what happens when two ordinary kids land inside a famous story and accidentally change how it goes? Sarah Mlynowski's series sends Abby and her little brother Jonah into one classic after another, where a single slip can leave a heroine without her happy ending, and the pair have to think fast to put things right. This quiz covers the whole series, with extra helpings of the two books readers ask about most: Fairest of All, where it all begins with Snow White, and Abby in Wonderland, where Abby and her school friends land in Alice's world. Cinderella, Rapunzel, the Snow Queen and Pinocchio all turn up too, along with a few questions about the author herself. It is written for middle-grade readers who have finished a book or two, and it works well as a comprehension check for teachers, librarians and parents once a class or family has finished one together.
